Wheelwright (Edmund March) is born in Roxbury.

(ca.) Born in Roxbury on September 14, 1854, Edmund March Wheelwright graduated from Roxbury Latin School and Harvard College, and studied at M.I.T. and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Wheelwright returns to Boston in 1880 and works initially for Peabody & Stearns and McKim, Mead & White, starts his own practice in 1883, then goes into partnership with Parkman Haven in Wheelwright Haven in 1890. He lives at 22 Chestnut Street. Wheelwright serves as Boston city architect (1891-95), during which time he successfully lobbied for eliminating the position. He dies in Dedham on August 15, 1912.
